Allele (BISS CH Hawkwind Rocks the Gene Pool), Mendel's Dam, wins her second Best in Specialty Show, this time from the Veteran class!!

Heli (ArticCross N Double Helix Unzip Your Genes), Mendel's Sister, was awarded Best of Winners!!

Mendel and his siblings showed beautifully helping both mom, Allele, and dad, Rico, win the stud dog and brood bitch classes.

Saturday, April 28 2012 - Greater Milwaukee Samoyed Fanciers Weight Pull

Mendel - 2nd place in the Amateur class, his first time out, pulling 834lbs

Friend Gina Cashen's boy, Layne, also pulled 834lbs (but Layne did so without barking his fuzzy head off before getting to work so he got 1st place)

Heli - 1st place in the Novice class, also her first time, pulling over 500lbs

Sookie - 3rd place in the Amateur class

Judge, Marcia Feld, was sitting chute-side watching the weight pull.  While waiting for his turn at around the 500lb range Mendel found Mrs. Feld and decided she needed some love.  The whole time the dog before him pulled, he sat blissfully in his harness with his chest in her lap getting snuggled.  Times like this are when I remember just how much I completely adore that dog.
